How do I get into the admin section for my website
You access your admin section by typing /sohoadmin/ after your domain in your internet browser address bar (eg http://yourdomain/sohoadmin/) |
I’m trying to log in but I keep getting told that my session has expired
1) Try deleting your temporary internet files. If this doesn't work, do the following:
2) Go into your loging screen, punch in your login info and password, and click the Login button, as shown in the following piccy:
If you log in ok then you don't have a problem. Sometimes, however, you may get this pop-up error message.
Go back to the window that you entered your log in information. It should have changed to look like the following picture. Notice that the domain name is either "http://yourdomain/sohoadmin/index.php" or "http://www.yourdomain/sohoadmin/index.php" (i.e. either it's got the "www" in it or not) In this example it does not have the "www" in the web address.
You need to go to the web address and type "www." if it's missing, or delete it if it's there. Then click on the "Go" button, or just hit enter, and you should go to your sohoLaunch main menu page

How do I change that bit of text in the title bar of the browser window (the title bar is the very top of the browesr window, above all of the "File", "Edit", and other drop-down menus. If you're using internet explorer, it will be displaying the internet explorer logo)
That's called the page title. You change it by doing the following: One page at a time
- Edit the Page
- Click on the "Page Properties" button (next to the "Preview Page" button"
- Under "Page Title", write whatever you want.
- Click OK.
- Don't forget to save the page you've just edited.
If you want the same title for every page on your site, you can do it an easier way:
Every page at once (except the home page)
- Go into the "Webmaster" Section
- Click on "Search Engine Ranking"
- Under "Web Site Title" Write whatever you like.
- Click "Save Meta-Tag Data"
NOTE: The second method won't work on the home page. You'll need to do that one individually using the first method. |
I set all my page titles in one place and if shows up correctly everywhere except on the home page. How do I fix it?
This is a bug in SOHO launch. You'll need to set your home page's title individually. See the answer to the question above in order to fix up your home page's title.
I’m trying to build a template, but if I use a non-predefined colour for the foreground & background, it doesn’t show up on the preview.
Yeah, it doesn’t. It’ll remember it when you save it though.
I used the template builder, and now the picture in my header cuts out the top left of my text in the content section!
Add a few blank lines at the top of your text in the content section, so that your text is a little lower.
I used the template builder, but the navigation bar text colour doesn’t go with my chosen colours. How do I change it?
You’ll need to use buttons. Go into the Menu Navigation section from the main menu, and select your menu links to be buttons, and click save. Then go to the bottom of the Menu Navigation system and change the button colors. This should fix you right up.
I’d like to insert a picture into a text field but I’ve getting an error
Yes, you can’t do it – a bug with the builder. You need to insert pictures into their own grid cell in the edit page area.
I’d like to insert a table into a text area, but I’m getting a bug.
Another bug, but this one you can get around… Open up your word editor on your local computer, make the table you want, and copy and paste it in.
