| How can you afford to be so cheap? |
| You're right, We ARE cheap! Small Business Web Hosting is a small business that services other small businesses. As such we do not have large overheads, and we pass these savings on to our customers. |
| Do I need to know about computers? |
| No! Small Business Web Hosting makes affordable websites available to everyone - not just the computer savvy. With Small Business Web Hosting, you can actually get a website online without even touching a computer! |
| Do you just do websites for small businesses? |
| No! We will happily create a website for anyone - sports clubs, churches, personal sites, bigger business - as long as we consider their desired content to be decent. |
| How long will it take to get my website online? |
| That depends on how complex your website is. The simplest websites can be online within 1 - 3 days, whereas most other small business websites will take about a week. Websites with e-commerce features and/or database integration will take longer, and an estimated timeframe will be given when a quote is provided. |
| Can I transfer my existing website to you? My current hosting provider is charging me a lot more than you would. |
Yes! Small Business Web Hosting will work with you to transfer your domain name and site data onto our servers. You will need to provide us with the following information: - ftp username & password
- domain name password
I doesn't matter if you don't know what these are; your current hosting provider should supply them for you on request. Most small business web sites are transferred for free, however there will be a charge incurred if your site has complex scripting or database functionality. Any charges will be confirmed upon inspecting your current website. Your hosting charges will commence when the transfer process is complete. |
| Do you allow any sort of content on a site you will create for me? |
| No. We have a decency policy which ultimately gives us the right not to allow anything on our servers which we consider inappropriate or indecent.
As a general rule of thumb this includes (but is not limited to) images, text, or movies containing offensive language or behaviour, nudity, or violent conduct. |
